GOVERNMENT WINS ELECTION IN VENEZUELA

Caracas (Venezuela), Oct. 28. The Government Party, Accion Democratica, was conceded a victory in the general election. Opposition newspapers agreed that with half the vote counted the Government won by a landslide. The Government at present is led by Romulo Betancourt, whose revolutionary junta has controlled the country since the overthrow in 1945 of president Medina’s regimt.
