Miss J. G. Gordon, Milford, is visiting Wanganui. Mrs. E. F. Bruce. Auckland, is the guest of J. K. Robertson, Victoria Avenue. Miss E. J. Clark, Ellerslie, Auckland, is the guest of Miss A. Liddell, Smithfield Road. Mrs. T. Ellis, Keith Street, returned yesterday after spending a few days ,n Napier. Mrs. Bowman, Napier, is visiting Wanganui as the guest of Mrs. M. Martin, Bell Street. Mrs. Waddell, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. W. J. Treadwell, St. John's Hill. Mrs. A. Murray, Papatoetoe, is the guest of Mrs. Rolls, Durie Hill. Mrs. A. Curry, Masterton, was the guest of Mrs. W. Curry, Gonville, for the holiday week-end. Mrs. M. G. Bartlett, Invercargill, and Mrs. F. Walker, Riccarton, Christchurch, are the guests of Miss H. Wilton, Toro Street, Durie Hill. Mr. and Mrs. George Millar, who have been visiting Wanganui, returned yesterday to New Plymouth. Miss Betty Douglas, of Otahuhu, is spending a holiday in Wanganui as the guest of Mrs. Herbert Prowse, Gonville. The Rev. J. E. McKenzie, retiring Moderator, and Mrs. McKenzie, who are visiting Wanganui for the Presbyterian General Assembly are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Chesswas, Field Street, Upper Aramoho. Gift Evening. Miss P. S. Curry, whose marriage will take place shortly, was the guest of honour at a gift evening recently. The hostesses were Mrs. M. Anderson, Mrs. Garland Jones and Mrs. J. P. Morrison, the party taking place at the home of Mrs. Anderson, where a very pleasant few hours were spent.
