BALMAIN RUGBY LEAGUE TEAM TO FLY TO AUCKLAND TO PLAY
Recd. 10.10 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 7. The Balmain Rugby League team will leave for Auckland by air on Wednesday to play three matches in Auckland. The party, which is the first club team to cross the Tasman by air, comprises the premiership winning first grade players and best of the reserve side, which also topped its grade. It is as follows:—N. Robinson (coach), H. Matthews (manager), T. Bourke (captain), D. Parkinson, A. Patton, J. Jorgenson, K. Parkinson, D. Ponchard, P. Devery, J. McCullough. G. Williams, J. Hampstead, F. D. Belin, H. Bath, H. Kidd, H. Gilbert, J. Spencer, C. Campbell, S. Ryan, and G. Wise.
