FUTURE U.S. ARMY. More than 40 United States generals have recommended that the bulk of the American Army be trained as an airborne striking force, spearheaded by parachutists and glider troops. The recommendations are contained in a study prepared for General Eisenhower as a basis for future army doctrine. The strength of an American airborne division is already being doubled to 16,000 men. The Army is also initiating a programme giving standard infantry divisions airlanding training. EISENHOWER AT BALMORAL. The Royal Family and the Eisenhower family dined together at Balmoral. General Eisenhower, Mrs. Eisenhower, and Captain John Eisenhower arrived by plane during the afternoon and are staying over the week-end at Balmoral.
WINDSOBS GOING TO ENGLAND. The Duke of Windsor announced he would leave Paris for England on October 11 with the Duchess and would stay several months with Lord Dudley in Berkshire. The Duke said he was selling his Riviere home and his iter plans were uncertain.
