FOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSIONERS

AMENDMENTS TO BILL (P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., Oct. 2. Amendments made to the Local Government Commission Bill by the Local Bills Committee, which reported them back to the House of Representatives this afternoon, provide for a Local Government Commission of four members instead of three, as in the original Bill. The amendment was that'two members should be appointed to the commission from a panel of persons nominated by the nominating associations, one of them to have a special knowledge ot urban local government, and the other a special knowledge of rural local government.
