KINDEST MEMORIES OF DOMINION TOUR”

AUSTRALIAN RUGBY TEAM

(P.A.) Auckland, Oct. 2. The manager of the Australian Rugby team. Dr. W. H. Ward, in a farewell statement said, “On behalf of the members of the team I desire to tender our heartfelt thanks to the people of New Zealand for their wonderful hospitality and many kindnesses shown to us all. We have travelled nearly 4000 miles within your country, and wherever we have been we have received nothing but the height of friendship. “The games have all been most enjoyable, and the crowds generous in their applause to both sides. We particularly desire to thank Mr. S. S. Dean, president of the New Zealand Rugby Union, and all provincial unions for the efficient manner in which our tour has been conducted. Each one of us will take back to our country the kindest memories of New Zealand and its people.
