THEATRE EQUIPMENT COMPANY HEAD OFFICE TO BE IN WANGANUI

Wanganui is to be the head office of a new £21,000 company to be known as Gaumont-Kalee (N.Z. > Ltd., whose objects are to acquire the pan of the General Machinery Company’s business relating to cinema equipment for the purpose of distributing, Installing and servicing the products of fhe J. Arthur Rank interests in Great Britain. The company has a capital of £21,000. the shareholders being R. J. Kerridge (Auckland), G. B. Kalee. Ltd. (London), and General Machinery Company. Ltd. (Wanganui), each 7000 shares. Mr. B. A Millward, shareholder in Gaymont-Kalee for the General Machinery Company, stated that G. B. Kale?. Ltd. (London), whose chairman of directors is Mr. J. Arthur Rank, recently became interested in groups of theatres in the British Empire.

The General Machinery Company, Ltd , up Io a few days a?o, were New Zealand distributors for Gaumont British Kalee and the new comnanv. Gau-mont-Kalee (N.Z.) Ltd., with head office in Wanganui is the result of the amalgamation of interests between ?4r. J. Arthur Rank and Mr. R J.
