THOUSANDS OF TRUCKS SHIFT STARVING STOCK

Recd. 9.10 pan. Sydney, Sept. 4. Loaded to capacity, thousands of motor trucks are being driven day and night in a final effort to bring millions of sheep from droughtstricken districts in the north to good pastures in the south. Every type and age of vehicle that can be mobilised has been pressed into service in a race for which the prize is wool from the State's valuable flocks.

Efforts to drove sheep and cattle to the south have failed because there is no feed on the stock routes.
