POST OFFICE CHIEF RETIRING

MR. H. M. PATRICK TO VISIT WANGANUI

Mr. H. M. Patrick, Director-General of Post and Telegraph Department, who retires at the end of this month, will be farewelled by the staff of the Wanganui Chief Post Office and suburban offices at a social gathering to be held in the Health Centre Hall on Saturday night. On,his visit to Wanganui, Mr. Patrick will be accompanied by Mr. J. G. Churchill (Wellington), associate secretary ot the Post and Telegraph Employees’ Association, and Mr. B. McIvor (Wellington), a member of the Dominion Executive of the association.

The.gathering is being arranged in Mr. Patrick's honour, and during his stay in the city he will meet as many members of the service as possible.
