FOR AVONDALE CUP
| One of the most interesting candidates for next week’s Avondale Cup will be Brockton, who has enioyed a brief but rather meteoric career to date. He defeated some smart sprinters at Ellerslie at the end of last month, over j seven furlongs. A month earlier ho had decisively defeated Broienl’C'* and Bedivere over a mile at Te Rapa, and all three horses have done well since then. Brockton should stay. He is by Dink from Eldora.
