OBSTETRICAL BUREAUX

RED GROSS SOCIETY GIVES HELP (P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., July 17. Referring to the setting up of obstetrical bureaux in Auckland and Wellington, as recently announced, Mr. Nordmeyer, Minister of Health, said to-night that special credit was due to the New Zealand Red Cross Society for its prompt co-operation. The Auckland and Wellington branches of the society had generously agreed to provide office accommodation and all other facilities for working a bureau in the respective centres.

The Order of St. John and the Red Cross Society, as well as other voluntary organisations, also offered their assistance in obtaining relief staffs to meet the increased demands on hospitals.

Mr. Nordmeyer expressed appreciation of this help.
