COMING-OF-AGE CELEBRATED
MISS F. KEYES HONOURED. Miss Freda Keyes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Keyes, Gonville, was the guest of honour at a coming-of-age party in the Y.M.C.A. lounge recently. 'There was a large n»mber ot relatives and friends presen i for the occasion, and a most enjoyable time was spent in dancing, games, and various items were contributed by friends. The guest of honour wore an attractive frock of white organdie, trimmed with silver sequins. Prior to cutting her cake, a great uncle, Mr. G. Boniface, of Feilding, presented her with the time honoured symbol of majority and also a "Lucky Horseshoe" on behalf of Mrs. A. Shailer, a great friend, from Foxton. Miss Keyes sincerely thanked her parents, relatives, and friends for the evening, and lovely array of gifts bestowed upon her. Mr. R. L. Parke officiated as M.C. and Mr. C. Peffers officiated at the piano, with Mrs. Parke playing the extras. The singing of Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
