AMATEURS’ GESTURE TO PROFESSIONAL TENNIS
Recd. 7 p.m. New York, May 20. 'The Foiest Hills Tennis Club, which is the stronghold of amateur tennis in the. United States, has agreed to national professional championships being held on its courts for the next five years. The “New York Post” comments: “This is the most important break the professionals have yet received. An open tournament will be lhe nex step in the more liberal attitude of the amateur authorities.”
