MEAT AND BUTTER COUPON SAVING
(P.A.) Wellington, May 21. A record number of meat and butter coupons was voluntarily surrendered during the week ended Monday, as part of the New Zealand campaign to provide more food for the people of Britain. The butter coupons totalled 13,317 compared with 11,577 the previous week. Meat coupons totalled 240,082, compared with 223,342 the week before. Oamaru headed ihe list and won the pennant with a big increase in surendered coupons for a small population. The main postal districts, in order of merit, based on population, are:
