FELL OFF TRAM AND WAS RUN OVER
WOMAN LOSES HER LIFE (P.A.) Auckland, May 21. An elderly woman was killed when she fell from an outward-bound 1 ramcar in Great North Road, Grey Lynn, and was run over by a taxi travelling in the same direction to-night. Shr was Mrs. Cecilia Agnes Costall, aged 176, widow, of Otahuhu. Mrs. Costall was on her way 1o visit |a nephew in Grey Lynn. \'hen the tram was still some distance from I her stop, she fell from a platform on jto the roadway While she was lying | there she was run over by the wheels [of a taxi following the tram, and was I dragged for a distance of 25ft. She [suffered a fractured skull, fractures of [both legs, and other extensive injuries to the body. An ambiMance was 1 summoned but she died before she could be removed to the hospital.
