THREE MORE RECORDS BROKEN BABBAGE WINS SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. In addition to the three records broken on the first day of the Wanganui Collegiate School sports on Saturday, three further records were bettered yesterday, when the sports were concluded. Two records were al- o equalled. Hassall followed up his record run in the mile w.lh another outstanding performance in the half-mile (under 17) which he won in the record time jf 2min. 11.8scc. The high jump (under 14) record was broken by P. Bell, who won with a jump of 4 feet Biin., while B. I. Wilson bettered the shot putt distance by throwing 38ft. sii* The two records which were equalled yesterday were the open 100 yards and <he under 17 event over the same distance. B. H. Vosper was the winner of the former race, his time being 10.4 sec. The record time gained by Voiper in the under 17 100 yards last year was broken bv Salmon, who covered the distance in 10.9 sec. The senior championship was won by Babbage, who compiled 12 points, and the junior premiership went to P. B. G. Hall, with 14 points.
