NEW SHOPPING HOURS
ELECTRICITY CONSERVATION. Because of the serious electricity position Wanganui retailers will observe new trading houi’s as from Tuesday next. Members of the Wanganui Drapers’, Cloth.ers’, Mercers, Furnishers’ and Boot Retailers’ Association, the Wanganui Booksellers’ Association and the Wanganui Hardware Association will open their premises from 8.40 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and from 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays.
Members of the Wanganui Master Grocers’ Association will open their shops between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 8.15 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m on Fridays. The Wanganui branch of the Wellington Manufacturers’ Association will also consider measures next week for the conservation of electric power used in local factories.
