CONTROL OF GERMANY

NEW BRITISH PROPOSAL COUNTRY MUST BE ABLE TO SUPPORT ITSELF Recd 10 p.m. London, April 11. The Foreign Ministers’ Council, when it meets in Paris on April 25, will be confronted with a new British proposal for Germany, says the “Daily Telegraph’s” political correspondent. The proposal is that Germany should be allowed to build up, from her own resources, an economic standard enabling her to support her population and play her full part in Europe’s reconstructions. The correspondent adds that Britain will insist that all measures designed to set Germany on her feet must be rigidly controlled, so as to prevent her, at any time in the measurable future, exploiting economic resources for the purposes of makir.g war.
