MR. FRASER’S POLICY

Sir,—l should like to ask what is Mr. Frasers position? I thought he was to represent us, be in fact our trustee, to look after our interests, i and use his expert knowledge for the benefit of mankind generally. Yet' when he hao a good chance of being | on the Social and Economic Council,! he gave way for Yugoslavia. The Labour Party boast that they lead the world in humanitarian matters, though it is true Mr. Nordmeyer says too many people are going into hospitals. Anyhow we have Io pay for the hospitals even if we do not go into them. Does Mr. Fraser think that the good of mankind is belter in the hands of Yugoslavia than in his? I never heard that the Yugoslavs were pre-eminent in social or any other kind of security. A Dalmation told me that every wai in Europe for the last hvo hundred years had started in the Balkans. Ido not think he was corresc, nut apparently Ify his confession security does not flourish there. Has Yugoslavia made any great contribution to the social security of Eurone in money? If Mr Fraser did not feel equal to the joh, why did he not say so at. first, and get someone else to do it: Mr. .Jordan for instance? I do not. think we need be alarmed that Mr. Fraser will make a deal over Stewart Island, to be used a.‘> a whaling base, to the ereat ben .'fit of Norway. We have not many Norwegians, really, in New Zealand, that have vnfes T am, etc., NGUTUWERA.
