BENSELL SHIELD GAMES RESULTS OE SATURDAY’S PLAY The opening series of games in the Bensell Shield competition under the control of the Wanganui Softball Association were played on Saturday. A good standard of play was witnessed by a large gathering. United won by default from Harrier B. Harrier' A won 19—7 from Technical College and Pirates defealed Star by 27 to 24. Harrier A proved too superior for Technical and won decisively. Technical did not field their usual team and did really well to score five against one of the top teams. Home runs for Harriers: D.
