BRIDES SAY THEY ARE ON “HELL SHIP”

VOYAGE TO NEW ZEALAND Recd. 8.20 p.m. Sydney, Jan. 8. War brides from England going to New Zealand declared to-day that-the Tyndareus, which put into Sydney Harbour for water, should be called a “heli ship,” rather than, a “stork ship.” On board are 60 wives, nine accompanied by their husbands, 15 children and other passengers. Many of the women are expectant mothers. The vessel left Liverpool on November 20 and will continue her voyage late to-day. The passengers say there are no laundry facilities, except one small basin, and only one iron for all. Most of the wives have not had a bath since the voyage commenced.
