PAN-AMERICAN PLANE LEAVES FOR N.Z.
FORERUNNER OF NEW SERVICE TO U.S.A. Recd. 12.20 a.m. San Francisco, Jan. 8. A Pan-American Douglas Clipper left for New Zealand, via Honolulu, Canton and Noumea, foreshadowing an early resumption of the regular scheduled air services between the United States and the South Pacific. Pan-American officials aboard the plane include Mr. Harold Gatty. PanAmerican announced the party would inspect facilities at Sydney, where it is planned to expand the service.
