TRAFFIC JAM IN U.S.A.
THE WORST IN HISTORY. New York, Dec. 23. The worst traffic jam in United States history developed yesterday as servicemen and civilians surged into rains, buses and planes. The Chicago railway authorities said that 15,000 long-distance travellers could not be carried. San Francisco authorities reported that about 168,000 soldiers from the Pacific could not be transported home for Christmas.
