MUCH U.S. EQUIPMENT

SOLDIERS LOUD LN THEIR CONDEMNATION

Recd. 9.30 p.m. New York, Dec 25 Soldiers returning from India are loud in their condemnation of lhe deliberate destruction of American-pro-duced equipment, says the “HeraldTribune.”

They claim new C 46 transport planes are being destroyed, and old planes, which are good enough to transport soldiers home, are being blown to bits by 5001 b. bombs. «Servicemen’s watches are being crushed by steam rollers, and costlv instruments, arriving by Red Bail air express, are being smashed with hammers, and jeeps sunk in lakes or crushed. Soldiers challenged the Army claim that only useless equipment is being destroyed.
