MRS- ROOSEVELT A DELEGATE

UNITED NATIONS ASSEMBLY UNITED STATES PERSONNEL Recd. 11 p.m. Washington, Dec. 20. President Truman has nominated Mrs. Roosevelt widow of the former President, to be one of the United States delegates to the United Nations’ Assembly, to be held in London next month. Other (lelegates are Senator Tom Connally, former Senator Arthur H. Vandenberg and Mr. E. R. Stettinius. The delegation will be led by the United States Secretary of State (Mr. J. F. Byrnes) at present in Moscow, attending the conference of the “Big Three” Foreign Secretaries. President Truman has also nominated Mr. Stettinius as United States representative on the United Nations' Security Council, with the rank of Ambassador.
