TO WORK WITH ATOMIC ENERGY TEAM

Auckland, Doc. 19. A TTTiner Auckland man has been seconded to work with the atomic energy team at Montreal, which is working on the development of atomic energy from thorium. Ho is Mr. lan K. Walker, son of the Rev. W. Walker and Mrs. Walker, of Auckland. who is a member of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. Eight other New Zealanders

are already with the team in Canada. During the latter part of the war Mr. Walker worked on radar at an air defence research establishment in England. Mr. Walker w ill return to New Zealand at the end of his period of secondment.
