SIDE TO PLAY LONDON EXPERIMENTAL HALF-BACK Recd. 6 p.m. London, Dec. 19 The 2nd N.Z.E.F. Rugby team to play London at White City on Saturday is as follows: Full-back: H. E. Cook. Three-quarters: W. G. Argus, J. B, Smith, J. R. Sherratt. Five-eighths: P. R. Allen (captain), J. C. Kearney. Half-back: I. Proctor. Back-row: N, H. Thornton. Middlte row: A. Grant, S. W. Woolley, R. D. Johnstone K. D. Arnold. Front row: P. K. Rhind, F. M. Haigh, J. G. Bond. Two interesting experiments are the playing of Allen at second five-eights, with Kearnby, and the trial of Proctor at half, in which position he has had experience in New Zealand. Another

half is needed because Saxton’s shoulder is much longer in clearing up than expected though it is still hoped he will be fit for the Wales match on January 5. Arrangements have now been completed for four matches on the Continent. The team is leaving England about March 6 for games against France, at Paris on March 9 or 10, Baor, at Brussels, on March 13, Baor again, at Wuppertal, on March 16 and against a French side at Toulouse, or Bordeaux, on March 23 or 24. Irish people are very keen to see the “Kiwis” again, and the probability is that if shipping arrangements permit, the team will again visit Ireland after the Continental tour, and play Muns'er and Ireland.
