FAMILY REUNITED

FATHER, GOING BLIND, SEES INFANT DAUGHTER freed., 9.30 p.m. New York, Dec. 3. Mrs. Bingham, of New Zealand, arrived at Charleston and was reunited with her husband, who saw his daughter Jennifer, aged 10 months, for the first time. Mrs. W. H. Bingham, a New Zealander, married an American Serviceman when he was stationed in the Dominion about two years ago. Later he proceeded to combat areas in the Pacific War and was severely wounded. Some months ago his sight was endangered and Mrs. Bingham made a compassionate plea to be allowed to go to the United States to be with-.her husband. Her request was granted, and she was given priority to travel by special plane accompanied by her two young daughters. She flew ot America in a Catalina aircraft. She arrived at Oakland, California, and later flew to the Navy hospital at Charleston, her husband is an inmate.
