FAT STOCK DISPOSAL ORDER

Parliament Bldgs., Nov. 21. “The future ot the fat stock disposal order has been causing considerable interest to farmers and meat operators,” said the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Roberts, to-day. He added that consideration had been given o a resolution passed at a recent meeting of representatives of the freezing industry meat operators to discuss the revocation of the Fat Stock Disposal Order, the Pig Marketing Regulations and the Slaughter of Pigs Control Order, and had it been agreed to revoke those orders on the understar ding Ihat the spirit of ihe resolution would be adhered to. The resolution was: “We accept the offer of revocation of these orders, provided, if it is fourd that higher prices than those agreed upon at the time with Ihe Government and the Meat Board are being paid, the Government reserves lhe right to call representatives of the compa: ios together to reconsider the present subsidy arrangement.”
