Calling all Children! JtXwy Calling all (Mf Children! A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM FATHER XMAS Hurrah! To-day we are in sight of New Zealand! I’m afraid I’m getting a little impatient—l keep telling the pilot to make those propellers go even faster. But he says not to worry, we’ll be there in plenty of time. Now, of course, I would have preferred to land right outside the D.I.C. and to have rushed in to see my beautiful Fairy House straight away but the Council won’t allow even my plane to land in Victoria Avenue. So the manager of the D.I.C. has arranged for my transportation from the airfield by special carriage. I will arrive outside the D.I.C. AT 3.15 P.M. TO-MORROW, FRIDAY You’ll all be there to meet me, won.’t you? You’ve no idea how much I’m looking forward to seeing you all after a whole year! And then you can visit me in my very own house— THE ADMISSION IS ONLY 9d. And besides receiving a . . . Grand Free Gift from me—one. of those I brought in my sack from the South Pole—you’ll see my wonderful garden, where (so the seagull told me) all our Nursery Rhyme Friends are playing. Yipee!! I can’t wait for to-morrow afternoon! Be seeing you all then at the D.I.C. . Your very excited friend. Father Xmas
