At. the October meeting of the Wangaehu branch of the Women’s Division Mrs. Frederick presided over an excellent attendance. Division Birthday Memorial Medical Scholarship, to bo granted to a Maori girl, fv.as discussed, an amendment being decided upon, that it should be open to any country girl. Mrs. Jackson, from Wavorley, gave a very interesting hcturc on the “Import ance of Training the Child in Right Thinking.” A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speakei, after which a dainty tea was served. The afternoon concluded with a fish competition. Winners of the host bloom were: Mrs. McNaught 1, Miss Coates 2.
