PIGEON FLYING

Recently the Wanganui Pigeon Flying Club held two races. One from Wvllsford, 153 miles, and one from Ashburton, 323 miles, by air. The placings in the Wellsfo-’d race were: - L. Edmond’s entry, 1058 v.p.m., 1, E. A. Carvell's entry, 1052 y.p.m., 2, R. Roskruge's entry, 1048 y.p.m., 3. In the Ashburton event, Mr. Roskruge's entry was 1, E. A. Carvell’s entry 2, and R. Roskruge*. entry 3.
