SUPER-FORTRESSES LAND AT CHICAGO Reed. 11.30 p.m. New York, Sept. 29. The non-stop flight from Japan to Washington failed when the ■ SuperoFrtresses, were forced to land at Chicago yesterday for The planes, which bucked strong bead winds, completed an estimated 5995 miles of the G5OO mile journey. The planes, which landed within an hour of each other, will proceed to V7:tshineton niter refuelling.
