A.T.C. ADDRESSED
VISIT OF WING-COMMANDER C. F. GRAY. The development of the Spitfire from the time of the Battle of Britain was described by Wing-Comman-der C. F. Gray in a talk to officers and personnel of the No. 9 (Wanganui) Squadron of the Air Training Corps, last night, at the A.T.C. headquarters. Th?re were also present members of the Wanganui Collegiate School A.T.C. Unit. Before the talk, Flight-Lieutenant. F. W. Gilligan, officer commanding the No. 9 Squadron, introduced WingCommander Gray, who, he said had a distinguished war record. The squadron deemed it an honour to have him as its guest that night, a.s the members had followed his career with keen interest. Tn his talk, which was given in a friendly atmosphere, Wing-Comman-der Gray explained the Spitfire manoeuvrability and superiority over
