ELECTORS’ ASSOCIATION ON COTNCIL MOTION.
The following letter from the executive of the Wanganui Electors’ Associlation. under the signature of Mr. R. O. C. Marks, has been sent to the Wanganui City Council:— “In answer to your letter of August 17, mv executive desires to express its I deep appreciation of the action taken by the City Council in resolving to give its full supndrt to ‘the representations as disclosed by the referendum taken in connection with the supply of milk to the city of Wanganui.’ We regret that five councillors directly opposed the people’s will, which was so emphatically expressed in the referendum, while we tender our sincere gratitude to the six who supported the measure for their loyalty to the best principles of democracy.”
