Miss Eva Brown, D strict Commissioner of the Girl Guide Association in the Wanganui area is leaving .to-day to attend a conference of Girl Guide Commissioners at Wail onto to be held from the 191 h. to 23rd. II is expected that about 60 delegates w.ll be present. Miss R. M. McKirght, who has had an outstanding record of service with the St. John Ambulance since she first joined in Dunedin 37 years ago, was recently larewclled in Wellington, where she has resided Jor the last 20 years. She has relinquished her position as lady district superintendent of St. John Ambulance Brigade to return to Dunedin to live.

Miss Isabel MacKinnon, has been promoted to the position of matron of the First Now Zealand General Hospital in the Central Mediterranean. Matron MacKinnon, who was on the staff ot the Palmerston North Hospital before the outbreak of the war, sailed from New Zealand with the First Echelon., and th Os has seen much service.
