RUSSIANS IN NORTH BATTLING FOR WARSAW Recd. 11.40 p.m. London, Sept. 1& Moscow reports heavy fighting in the northern sectors of the eastern front, and state? that a German attack south of Riga was repulsed with heavy losses.
