POST-WAR CIVIL FLYING Recd. 11 p.m. Canberra, Sept. 18. More than 3000 aircraft, of eight different types have been delivered to ' the R.A.A'F. by Australian aircraft, manufacturers since the outbreak of the war, said the Minister of Aircraft Production, Mr. Cameron, to-day. He . believed that Australian factories 1 could produce aircraft for civil flying ‘ after the war. particularly the heli- : copter, at a price more than comparable with the price which would have to be paid for machines from overseas. “I would be very much surprised if, after the war, we could not produce in Australia a private plane as cheap as the average car,” he added. _ ]
