PUBLICATION IN SEPTEMBER OI NEXT YEAR. (Special) Wellington. Aug. 23 A decision to publish a daily news paper “at the very latest by Septem her 1. 1945.” was arrived at on Saturday at a meeting of directors of Nev Zealand Labour Newspapers, Limited according to a statement in Thi Standard, N.Z. Labour weekly publication. “It has been the desire of _ th< Labour movement for some considerable time.” adds the statement, “t< establish its own paper for the purpose of supplying the public with ; satisfactory. news service and at the same time express, through the editorial articles its own point of view." “During the past three or foul years Press attacks on the Laboui Government have been so persistent and unfair that the whole Laboui movement has more than ever felt the need for more effective publicity, ant the directors of Labour dailies have been moved accordingly to seek some means by which, with * the resource; available, a Latbur daily newspapet could be made available to our supporters and others," said the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, commenting or the decision.
