Mr. Justice Finlay, who presides over the Land Sales Court, was in Wanganui for a sitting yesterday. He subsequently returned to Wellington.
Mr. Gordon Glennie, who has been manager in Wellington for the Cana-dian-Pacific Railway Company for the past nine years, is under orders to leave for London, where he is to resume his former duties as head of the immigration and colonisation department there. Mr. Glennie is being succeeded in Wellington by Mr. C. E. Leighton, late of the Sydney office of the C.P.R.
Mr. J. J. Evans, who has been appointed general manager of the N.Z. Meat Producers’ Board, is at present, manager of the Wellington Meat Export Company Ltd. His experience in the meat freezing industry began with the Wellington Farmers' Meat Company, of Masterton, in 1910. Later he transferred to the Wairarapa Frozen Meat Company, which merged with the Wellington Meat Export Company in 1927. He has been with the latter company ever since and has acted in an advisory capacity to two South Island freezing companies.
