Patriotic Funds Benefit.

Patriotic funds at New Plymouth benefited by £6OO last week through the generosity of five residents who made donations. On Wednesday the Mayor, Mr. E. R. C. Gilmour, stated that lie had received an offer from a New Plymouth woman to give £lOO to the funds if four other resi- 1 dents would do likewise by Saturday. 1 Four donations of £lOO were received and then a further gift, of £lOO was made by the original donor.
