WANGANUI TECHNICAL COLLEGE
PARENTS MEET PRINCIPAL Parents of pupils attending the Wanganui Technical College met in ihe college assembly hail last night to welcome the new principal, Mr. J. Dash. Members of the college staff were present. Mr. W. R. McElwain, chairman o( the Board of Managers, said he was gratified at the large number of parents present and said it showed a keen interest in the welfare of the school. The school was worthy of support. It ranked high in New Zea- [ land and reports from inspectors showed that its staff set a high standard. He welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Dash ! and introduced them to the gatheri in S- . I Mr. Dash said that education of a child demanded co-operation between parents and teachers. He endorsed the remarks of the chairman about the staff. They were fully deserved. The teaching staff played an important part in the advancement of any school, and it was all to the good for parents to make close contact with the teachers.
Supper was served bv the senior Itirls. under the supervision of Mrs. Haldane.
