DEATH FOR TREASON

Recd. 8.10 p.m. London. April 19. A military court in Algiers sentenced to death five of 27 French subjects on trial for treason. The ring were members of the Vichy organisation, the African Phalanx, which fought against the Allies in Tunisia. Ten wore sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment, one to 15 years, one to 10 years, five to five years, and five bound over.
