COMMITTED FOR TRIAL
CHARGES OF THEFT AND FORGERY (P.A.) Auckland, April 20. A charge of stealing £1902 from the Waiheke Passage Service, Limited, while ho was a servant, in the employ of the company, was brought against Arthur Thomas Day, married, aged 50. bus proprietor and master mariner, before Justices of thc Peace. Five further charges, of forging receipts for moneys paid tn him on behalf of the company, were made against the accused, who pleaded not guilty and reserved his defence. He was commit ted to the Suprcm o Court for trial. Bai : . nf £5OO on his nwn recognisance, v,ith a further surety of £5OO, was tallowed.
