ALLIED TROOPS REMOVED Recd| 6 p.m. Rugby, Nov. 24. The evacuation of Samos, in th") Aegean, is announced in a special communique which states: "Having accomplished their task, all the British and Greek, and a proportion of the Italian troops have been evacuated without loss from Samos, together with a large proportion of the civil ■population. This evacuation was tarried out several days ago. The German High Command has now announced that their troops have taken Samos. Patrol and harasing operations in the Aegean by Allied forces continue." —8.0.W. Recd. 6 p.m. London, Nov. 24. The Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Attlee, told the House of Commons to-day, that the Government would make a statement on the fighting in the Dodecanese Islands at the next sitting of the House. The German High Command, in reporting the capture of Samos, states that the garrison, totalling 6000, surrendered. DELICATE OPERATION Recd. 9.30 p.m. London. Nov. 23. The evacuation of British and Greek forces from Samos, with, it is understood, no serious interference, leaves Castelrosso the only Aegean Island now garrisoned by the British .
