YUGOSLAV FORCES

OPERATING IN BANAT Recd. 6.30 p.m. Rugby. Nov. 21. Yugoslav forces are operating the Banat “on Hungarian territory, where partisan detachments have carried out a number of s&ccessful enterprises '* the last few days and disarmed several smaller garrisons, states a communique issued by the Yugoslav People’s Liberation Army. Banat is in former Rumanian territory. part of which was “ceded’’ to Hungary, together with Transylvania, in 1939. In, Yugoslavia iteself the partisans conitnue to harass enemy communications and garrisons and repel German attacks.—B.O.W.
