DEATHS IN CALCUTTA
MANY DESTITUTE VICTIMS Recd. 6 p.m. Calcutta, Nov. 17. In the fortnight ended November 13, the police picked up 1113 bodies of destitute persons from the streets, while 1014 other destitute persons died in hospital In the same period, in which also the corporation recorded 3835 deaths from all causes, compared with 1299 for the corresponding fortnight last year.
