SOUTH AFRICAN MEDAL
Recd. 6 p.m. Rugby, Nov. 16. It is officially announced by FieldMarshal Smuts that the King has approved the steps being taken for the institution of the "Africa Service Medal” to be awarded to all members of the Union Defence Forces and other uniformed services of the Union who were attested for service in Africa before May 13, 1943. the day on which Africa was finally cleared! of Ihe enemy.
Men and women of all ranks will be eligible.—B.O.W.
