THE WOOL SEASON

APPRAISAL CONCLUDED The second Wanganui wool appraisement of the season concluded yesterday. The offering of about 9100 bales consisted largely of hoggets and other early shorn wools, including a percentage of attractive crossbreds. There was, however, a big proportion of unskirted wools, the prices for which show a good return over the whole of the clip. A sprinkling of better class wools would have been lifted up in value by skirting. The recent break in the weather reduced the quantity available for the appraisement. The next fixture is scheduled for December 13 and growers are urged to forward their clips without delay to ease transport requirements at the peak rush.
