MEDITERRANEAN POSITION Recd. 7 p.m. London, Oct. 14. The chairman of the British Oil Control Board, Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd, said to-day that we shall have more oil from the Middle East countries now the position in the Mediterranean has changed. We had always been keen to make more use of the oilfields there, he said, and we were now in a position to do so. American and British co-operation would provide oil fo 1 ? every theatre of war. The fact that the fighting services have all they need is a proof of close Anglo-American partnership.
